This is a typical wine-producing village on the banks of the Danube and the foothills of Fruška Gora. There is wine-tasting in wine cellars, a traditional house with presentations of old needle crafts – women’s fashion made to patterns from Vienna and Paris from the middle of the last century. A ride on a ferry-raft to the sounds of the tamburica players is a memorable experience for the visitor to Vojvodina. The speciality of Banoštor is lupani čevap, a grilled meat dish that goes very well with wine.
