Belo Blato

Belo Blato is the most multicultural village in Vojvodina, and in Serbia. There are more than twenty nationalities living in this village, the most numerous being Slovaks (40%), Hungarians (30%) and Bulgarian Catholics (20%), with Serbs and others making up 10%. Almost all the inhabitants speak these four languages (of a total of seven languages). There is private accommodation, a traditional house, souvenir shop, folk-dancing and a presentation of traditional crafts. Visit to a Slovak and Hungarian house and a chance to sample their Sunday lunch. Visit to a farmstead and tasting of Bulgarian and Serbian specialities. A visit to the old reed workshop where even today items are made from reeds.
